Baby Snooks and Daddy

Fanny Brice, the original "Funny Girl" from the Ziegfeld Follies created the character of Baby Snooks for vaudeville in 1912. Snooks and her exasperated Daddy played by Hanley Stafford were a perfect fit for radio, and appeared on the air from 1936 -- initially in guest spots, but then in her own show starting in 1944, right until until her sudden death in 1951. Many of the scripts were written by Phil Rapp, who also created the characters of The Bickersons.
