Our Gal Sunday

"Our Gal Sunday," spent twenty-two years in broadcasts on CBS. She had her literary origins in a 1904 Broadway play titled "Sunday" which starred Ethel Barrymore. In 1937 she was turned into the title character of this long running soap opera. "Can this girl from a little mining town in the West find happiness as the wife of a wealthy and titled Englishman" as the announcer always asked. As with many soaps, most of the intrigue occurred in the supporting cast.
